Regarding the logistical market , Belgium’s location in Europe has more than 60% of the purchasing power of the European Union within a radius of 500 km and remains the most sought after location for European Distribution Centres due to the transport infrastructure (Port of Antwerp, Motorway, canal and train network) and the relatively low rent levels. In terms of Retail, Belgium has the worldwide 15 highest GDP per habitant, and private consumption accounts for 53% (2007) of the GDP. 20 % of the population lives in the 7 most important cities: Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Charleroi, Liège , Bruge and Namur.
